Mr. Capalot or Polo Capalot as he is commonly referred to within Chicago Illinois started to gain attention once he released tracks on YouTube. His first singles were released like never Cared or The Come up. Then he made his debut on SoundCloud through the release of the mixtape Official POLO.G SoundCloud. Gang With Me marked his first hit single which was then followed by another single, Finer Things. He was in prison when he wrote Finer Things. It was his debut single and had millions of YouTube views. Soon major record labels started taking notice of his work. Pop Out, featuring Lil Tjay is finally out following the rapper's signing of an Columbia Records distribution agreement. The song climbed to the 22 position on Billboard Hot 100 and received millions of YouTube views. The song was the first song to chart for the rapper. Polo G gained fame on YouTube along with other social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter.
